Welcome to Japan Easy Guide

Hello! I’m Kanon Goto, a Japanese local living in Tokyo.

I created Japan Easy Guide to help first-time visitors travel in Japan more smoothly and with less stress.

Japan is an amazing country to visit, but for many first-time travelers, it can also feel confusing at first.

Train systems, stations, IC cards, airport transportation, payment methods, hotel areas, and even simple daily travel situations can feel difficult if you are unfamiliar with Japan.

I understand why many travelers feel anxious before visiting Japan.

That is why I created this site.

Why I Started This Website

When I looked at travel information online, I noticed two common problems.

  • Some websites provide too much information and make it difficult to decide what to do.
  • Some articles explain Japan in ways that are not practical for real travel situations.

Especially for first-time visitors, too many choices can become stressful.

Instead of overwhelming readers with endless information, I want this website to help people feel:

“Now I understand what to do next.”

Japan Easy Guide focuses on practical and beginner-friendly travel guidance from a local Japanese perspective.

What You Will Find on This Website

This website focuses on practical travel situations such as:

  • How to get from the airport to the city
  • How to use Suica and other IC cards
  • How Japanese train systems work
  • How to choose hotel areas in Tokyo
  • How to use eSIMs in Japan
  • How to use convenience stores and ATMs
  • What first-time visitors should prepare before arriving
  • Common confusion points in Japan travel

I try to explain things in simple English so that even travelers who are not native English speakers can understand easily.

A Real Local Perspective

I live in Tokyo and use Japanese trains, stations, convenience stores, and transportation systems in daily life.

Because of that, I try to explain not only official information, but also the practical side of traveling in Japan.

For example:

  • which stations may feel confusing
  • which transportation options are easier for beginners
  • what travelers should prepare in advance
  • what mistakes are common for first-time visitors

My goal is to make Japan feel easier, calmer, and more understandable for travelers.

Some articles on this website may include affiliate links for travel-related services such as eSIMs, hotel booking services, transportation tickets, or travel tools.

However, I only recommend services that are useful for helping travelers prepare for Japan and reduce confusion during their trip.

The goal of this website is always to help readers make better travel decisions — not simply to sell products.

Thank You for Visiting

I hope Japan Easy Guide helps you feel more confident about your trip to Japan.

Thank you for visiting, and enjoy your journey in Japan!
